Jeffrey Lemm
Jeff Lemm serves the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance as a Conservation Program Specialist with the Conservation Science team. As a herpetologist with over 30 years of service with the SDZWA, Jeff’s current research is focused on reptile and amphibian conservation on SDZWA natural areas in San Diego County. Jeff manages the long-term biodiversity surveys in both SDZWA reserves, studying the impact of climate change on amphibians, reptiles, and small mammals. He also manages the field operations of the Red-diamond rattlesnake research program, which focuses on habitat use, fine-scale behavior and movements, and the impacts of roads and other anthropogenic disturbances on this iconic umbrella species. Jeff’s research background centers on the conservation of imperiled amphibians and reptiles in Southern California, the Caribbean islands, and other regions through conservation research, education, and conservation breeding and reintroduction.
