Lindsey Korito, M.S.
Lindsey serves the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance as a Research Coordinator in Community Engagement. In this role, see coordinates the Native Biodiversity Corps (NBC) program which engages high school students to design, implement, maintain, and monitor on campus California native wildlife gardens in order to develop student knowledge, appreciation, and passion to conserve San Diego County's unique biodiversity.
Lindsey earned her bachelor's and master's degree in Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos. Her master's work examined metabolic responses to temperature in an intertidal invertebrate. During which time, her interest in conservation strengthened. Working at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has allowed her the opportunity to apply the knowledge she gained through her research to real-world situations that have lasting impacts on the conservation and prosperity of varying species.
